Who we are

Weir Hill Riverside Park Community is a resident-led community organisation serving the Weir Hill and Lilly Hay development and the wider surrounding community. We are the data controller responsible for the personal information you provide through this website.

To contact us about your personal data, email hello@weirhill.co.uk.

What personal data we collect

We collect the following personal information:

  • Your name and email address, used to create and manage your member account.
  • Your Weir Hill property address, used to verify that you are a resident before your account is approved.
  • Documents you choose to upload to the members area, which may contain personal information about you or your household.
  • Messages you send through the contact form, including your name, email and the contents of your enquiry.
  • Basic account information returned by Google if you choose to sign in with Google.

Why we collect it

We use your personal information to:

  • Verify that you are a Weir Hill resident before approving your account.
  • Give you access to the private members area and its documents.
  • Respond to your enquiries and keep you informed about the community.
  • Administer membership and, where necessary, manage inappropriate use.

Our lawful basis

We rely on your consent when you create an account or contact us, and on our legitimate interests as a community organisation in verifying residency and running the members area securely. You can withdraw your consent at any time by asking us to close your account.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking on this website. Your information is shared only with trusted service providers who host and secure the website and members area, and with Google when you choose to sign in with Google. These providers process data only as instructed by us and under their own data-protection obligations.

Your uploaded documents are private to you and to site administrators. They are not visible to other members unless an administrator chooses to share a document more widely.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account information for as long as your membership is active. Contact-form messages are kept only for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry. If you close your account, we will remove your personal data and your uploaded documents, except where we are required to keep records for a longer period.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your personal data and close your account.
  • Object to or restrict how we use your data.
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you are concerned about how we handle your data.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@weirhill.co.uk.

Security

The members area is protected by sign-in and admin approval. Only approved residents can access it, and documents are stored privately and shared through secure, time-limited links. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no online service can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children

This website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. See our Cookie Policy and Terms of Use for related information.
